SHS Warriors and Lady Warriors
12/11-13 V girls at Eunice Tournament: L 52-12 versus Eunice on 12/11, L 29-22 versus Loving and L 69-12 versus Jal. The Lady Warriors are now 1-7 for the season.
12/11-13 V boys at Moriarty Tournament: L 58-19 versus Melrose on 12/11 , W 44-40 versus Laguna Acoma and L 50-40 versus NMMI. The Warriors are now 3-4 on the season.
12/19 JV and V girls at home versus East Mountain, 5 and 6:30 p.m.
SMS Braves
12/10 Away versus Alamo (8th graders only). Socorro lost by three in overtime.
12/12 At home versus Edgewood: seventh graders won a “nailbiter” 28-27 and the eighth graders lost their game. The seventh graders are now 4-1 overall, while the eighth graders are 2-5 overall for the season.
12/15 Away versus Belen, 5 and 6 p.m.
12/18 Away versus Los Lunas, 4 and 5 p.m.

12/10 The 8th grade girls lost at Alamo.

Football-Alamo players named to All-District team
Scotty Guerro, senior and captain: quarterback, running back and linebacker.
Andy Pino, senior and captain: offensive line and defense.
Tilial Secatero, junior: wide receiver, corner back and safety.
Cobre Mexicano, junior and captain: tight end, cornerback and linebacker.
Tony Tsosie, junior: tight end, wide receiver and cornerback.
Diondre Apachito, senior and captain: defensive and offensive lineman.
Scotty Guerro was also named Defensive MVP.
Cougars Head Coach Wyatt Billy was also honored by being named Coach of the Year for 8-Man District 1.
