A COUNTY CURFEW for the areas outside the municipalities of Socorro and Magdalena was discussed briefly at a special meeting of the County Commission on Monday night. A curfew is slated for further discussion at a future meeting. County Clerk Ignacio Garcia said District Judge Garnett R. Burks had mentioned a curfew to Santiago Gallegos, road superintendent, and Gallegos passed it on to the commission. The purpose of a curfew, if it could be put into effect, apparently would be to give the sheriff’s office authority over teenagers in unincorporated communities and those who wander a municipality into these communities.
