HARASSMENT
On Nov. 10, in the area of Leroy Place, an officer was called to a victim’s home for a harassment report. According to the report, the victim said the suspect was recently released from jail and had conditions that he was not to contact her. The victim then showed proof that the suspect was calling the victim. The victim also said the suspect was harassing her fiancé as well, according to the report. The fiancé was contacted and told the officer he was driving on the roadway when the suspect pulled alongside and began yelling at him. The officer contacted the on-call district attorney, who advised the officer to file harassment charges against the suspect. Steven Patterson, age 52 of Socorro, was charged with one count of harassment, and the DA’s office will petition for violation of conditions of release, said reports.
VICTIM HIT WITH HAMMER
On Nov. 10, in the area of 5th Street, an officer was dispatched to a residence for a male who was hit by a hammer. According to the report, the officer met with the victim, who said he was struck in the head by a male suspect. The victim said the suspect hit him in the head and then fled the area. EMTs were called for the victim, and the officer spoke with a witness who said he had seen the incident and that the suspect had hit the victim and then left with the hammer in his hand. The reports said the officer was able to get charges approved and a warrant for the suspect, Raymond Pino, age 22 of Socorro, for one charge of aggravated battery.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
On Nov. 11 in the area of Silva Street, an officer was dispatched to a residence for a 911 hang-up. According to the report, the officer knocked and met with a male who said he had been hit by his girlfriend. The officer tried to interview the female, who did not want to speak with officers. The female, Madison Jobe, age 25, of Los Ojos, was arrested and incarcerated at SCDC on one charge of domestic violence.
FEMALE THREATENED
On Nov. 11, in the area of North Sixth Street, an officer was dispatched to a local business for threats. According to the report, the officer was advised by a female that she had purchased a residence and had been receiving threats by two males. The female said she wanted the incident documented.
LARCENY AND CRIMINAL TRESPASS
On Nov. 12, in the area of Evergreen Drive, an officer was dispatched to a residence for theft. According to the report, the officer was shown a video of the incident. The officer was able to identify the male who had taken a solar-powered light valued at $50. The officer filed charges on the male, Jorge Ontiveros, age 26 of Socorro, for two counts of larceny and two counts of criminal trespass.
SPEEDING, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
On Nov. 12, in the area of Spring Street and Nicholas, an officer was patrolling the area when he observed a vehicle traveling faster than the posted speed. The officer conducted a traffic stop, and according to the reports, when running the driver through NCIC, the driver came back with a suspended, revoked driver's license. The officer placed the male driver under arrest, and the driver was transported to SGH for medical clearance. The suspect, Raul Guerrero, age 48 of Socorro, was booked into SCDC following medical clearance on three charges of possession of a controlled substance, three charges of driving while license is suspended or revoked, and three charges of speeding 1-10 mph over.
HIT AND RUN CRASH
On Nov. 13, in the area of Highway 60, officers were advised that a suspect was involved in a hit-and-run crash. According to the reports, the officer completed a traffic stop and contacted the male suspect who was driving. The suspect had an invalid, suspended, revoked license with arrest pursuant. The male suspect was arrested, and the female passenger was contacted and run through NCIC and had a valid warrant. The female was arrested, and the vehicle was released to a family member. According to the report, the suspect, Adrian Venavidez, age 36 of Socorro, was arrested on two valid warrants, two charges of driving without a suspended or revoked license, and two charges of LSA unattended vehicle duty upon striking. Both suspects were processed and booked at the SCDC.
JUVENILE RINGING DOORBELLS
On Nov. 13, in the area of Spring Street, a caller advised juvenile suspects were ringing their doorbell and running off. According to the report, the caller advised she captured the incident and wanted the incident documented.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
On Nov. 14 in the area of North California Street an officer was dispatched to a location for a female wanting to report damage to the property. According to the report, the officer arrived on scene and observed damage done to the chain link fence on the east side of the property. The reporting party advised the officer there was no security footage, and they did not know who could have caused the damage. The reporting party estimated the value of the damage to be between $500 and $1000. A police report was made.
WARRANT ARREST
On Nov. 14 in the area of Mechem an officer was dispatched to the location where an adult probation of parole officer needed assistance with an arrest. According to the report, when the officer arrived and met with the probation officer they were advised that the officer had a female that had violated her probation and a warrant was issued for her arrest. The report said that the officer placed the female under arrest on the probation warrant and booked the female into SCDC.
SHOT FIRED INTO DOOR
On Nov. 14, an officer was called to a home for a shot fired into a door. According to the report, the officer met with the victim who advised that she heard a loud pop at the front door and noticed a hole in the door. The officers did find a hole in the door and noticed the projectile did not penetrate the interior of the door. The officer checked the area for anyone carrying a firearm but no one was located and there are no suspects at this time.
STOLEN VEHICLE AND PROPERTY
On Nov. 16 an officer was called to a scene for a stolen vehicle and property. According to the report, the officer met with the victim who said that her son, the suspect, had taken items from his girlfriend and also taken the victim’s car without permission. The girlfriend could not list what was taken and the officer obtained vehicle information. The report said that the victim called back later and advised that the suspect had returned with the vehicle. The officer arrived and placed the suspect under arrest. The vehicle was left in the custody of the victim and the suspect, Zachariah M Robinson, age 29 of Socorro, was charged with one count of unlawful taking of a vehicle and booked at SCDC.
ITEMS TAKEN FROM CONVENIENCE STORE
On Nov. 18 in the area of US Highway 85 a caller advised that two male and two female suspects entered the convenience store and began putting items in their pockets. According to the report, the suspects took several items each and then left in a white SUV without paying for the items. The caller said that the suspects were calling each other by name and provided the names. The caller advised they would have to do inventory to see what was taken.
BREAKING PROTECTION ORDER
On Nov. 18 at Raks Lumber Yard, a caller advised that he had a protection order against him and someone had tried to contact his current girlfriend. According to the report, the caller believed it was his ex-girlfriend. The caller advised his ex-girlfriends grandmother also tried contacting him through Facebook but he did not respond. The officer documented the incident.
THREATS MADE
On Nov. 18 in the area of Mary Place, officers were called to a scene for threats. According to the report, the officer met with the witness and the victim, who advised that the witnesses father was sending threatening messages between the witness and the victim. The victim was advised of the services and process of obtaining a protection order.
