TRESPASS OVER GOLF CLUB DAMAGE
On Nov. 1 in the area of Chaparral, a victim said that the suspect came to their residence to see why the victim was mad at the suspect. According to the report, the suspect became upset and began threatening the victim. They then went outside and grabbed a golf club, and began hitting the victim’s home. The report states that the suspect then left the home. The officer, when following up with the victim, said the victim advised she did not want to file charges but did want the suspect to be trespassed from her property.
MISSING PERSON
On Nov. 2, in the area of Padilla, an officer located a vehicle parked in the roadway with no one inside. According to the report, the officers were able to locate an elderly female in the area who was showing signs of dementia. The vehicle did belong to the female. Officers were able to call an ambulance for the female, and she was taken to the hospital. In the report, it says that the officers were able to contact the female’s home agency and asked that the family be contacted. The officers were able to speak with the husband and notify him of his wife’s location. The vehicle was towed from the scene, and the Arizona police department advised that the female was a missing person who would now be removed from the NCIC as missing, stated the report.
MALE FOR WARRANT ARREST FLEES
On Nov. 2 in the area of Chaparral and Giles, an officer was dispatched to a call and saw a male walking in the area. According to the report, the officer contacted the suspect and identified them as a person with a valid arrest warrant. The officer advised the subject to stop, and the suspect fled from the officer. In the report, the officer followed the suspect and was able to catch them as they were climbing over a wall. The suspect was actively resisting and fighting with the officer, so the officer gave distraction strikes to the suspect to gain compliance and place the suspect in handcuffs. The suspect refused to identify himself, and according to the report, was advised of his rights and then advised the officer of his information and said he knew he was wanted and hiding from law enforcement. The suspect, Dimitri Valles, age 32 of Socorro, was processed and later booked at SCDC for the active warrant and one charge of resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer.
DISTURBANCE AT RESIDENCE
On Nov. 2 at 1:36 a.m., in the area of Chapparal Drive, a caller advised that a suspect came to the residence banging on doors and windows. According to the report, the caller said the suspect was being argumentative, and her husband and the suspect pushed each other and fell to the ground. The suspect got up and left the home. Officers made contact with the suspect at his residence, where he was found to be intoxicated. The suspect advised officers he had been drinking with his sister and went to the bathroom, and when he returned, his liquor was gone. The suspect said he went to his sister’s home and was assaulted after knocking on the windows. Officers later spoke with the sister and her son. The report says these witnesses said the suspect arrived at the sister’s home intoxicated and banging on windows. The suspect was told to leave and did not. The sister’s husband came out, and he and the caller pushed each other, causing the caller to fall down. The suspect later left. No charges will be filed.
MISSING JUVENILE
On Nov. 3, in the area of Pinon Drive, an officer was dispatched to meet with a female reporting party. According to the report, the caller advised that her fifteen-year-old daughter had left the house on foot and had not returned. The juvenile was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black leggings, and black Crocs. The officer obtained an address for a friend of the missing juvenile and went to the location. The officer made contact with the juvenile’s friend and the mother, who both advised that the missing juvenile was not at the residence, said reports.
FENTANYL AND SPITTING ON AN OFFICER
On Nov. 3, in the area of Grefco Road, an officer was inventorying a bag and found fentanyl pills in the suspect’s belongings. According to the report, the officer was meeting with the suspect at the jail to explain new charges for a case. The suspect became upset and spat on the officer; jail staff removed the suspect from the area. The suspect, Isaiah Savedra, age 28 of Socorro, had new charges filed for two counts of possession of a controlled substance and two charges of battery on a peace officer.
PUBLIC NUISANCE
On Nov. 3 in the area of Plaza Street, officers were called to a scene of a female suspect wanting a ride home after leaving an argument with her boyfriend. According to the report, officers advised that they could not give her a ride and take her back home because the argument may escalate. The officers then left and were called back to the scene due to the suspect harassing staff and customers at the bar. The report states the suspect said she had no place to go and was high and seeing people. The female was advised that she was trespassed from the bar and was going to be cited. The suspect, Sheena Pino, age 31 of Socorro, was upset and said she wanted to go to jail. She began yelling loudly and was then placed under arrest and booked at SCDC on two charges of criminal trespass and two charges of public nuisance.
WARRANT ARREST
On Nov. 4, in the area of Mechem, officers were called to the probation and parole office for a suspect with an active warrant. According to the report, the warrant was confirmed, and the suspect was arrested and booked at SCDC.
UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES
On Nov. 4, in the area of Center Street, an officer was stopped by a victim who wanted to report unauthorized charges to his bank card. According to the report, the victim advised that his wife, whom he was in the process of divorcing, used the bank card to make purchases totaling $644.90. The victim advised he was going to cancel the bank card at the bank.
WALLET TAKEN
On Nov. 4, in the area of 6th Street, a victim said she left her wallet in a shopping cart at Walmart and left. According to the report, the officer met with security and reviewed video footage showing a male suspect known to officers. In the video, the suspect takes the victim’s cart and puts the cart away. The wallet was in the cart when the suspect got the cart, and was gone when the suspect left the cart.
SUSPENDED LICENSE
On Nov. 5 in the area of Blue Canyon, an officer stopped a vehicle for expired registration. According to the report, the suspect advised that he knew he should not be driving. The officers completed an NCIC check and confirmed the suspect had a suspended, revoked license with arrest pursuant. The suspect, Adrian Benavidez, age 36 of Socorro, was arrested and a tow truck was called. The report states that during the inventory of the vehicle, the officers took two firearms for safekeeping and a compound bow. The suspect was processed and later booked at SCDC with four counts of driving while license was suspended or revoked, four charges of no registration, four charges of no proof of insurance, and four charges of windshield front/right/left to be transparent.
TRESPASSING AT STORE
On Nov. 5, in the area of North 6th Street, an officer was called to the store for trespassing. According to the report, the officer located the suspect and placed the suspect under arrest. The suspect was searched and found with a fentanyl pill. The suspect, Ezekiel Orozco, age 33 of Socorro, was booked at SCDC and charged with two counts of criminal trespass/not posted, and two charges of possession of a controlled substance. The report states the pill was logged as evidence.
HOUSE CHECK
On Nov. 5, in the area of Southwest Baca, an officer met with CYFD staff for a house check after a child was taken to Albuquerque with a head injury. According to the report, the officer completed the house check with CYFD staff, and the home was found to be clean with food and all utilities on. The report states the child was fine, and the officer documented the incident.
PUBLIC NUISANCE
On Nov. 5, in the area of Sean Street, officers were called to the scene for a female knocking on doors. According to the reports, the officers were travelling to the scene and received a second call about the female entering a home. The officers arrived and found the suspect in the home, and the suspect said that she was drinking and using cocaine, and people were after her. The report said the officers advised the suspect she would be taken for an evaluation after being taken home to change clothes because she had soiled herself. The officers were then called to the Socorro General Hospital for the female who was causing problems. The reports state the suspect was in the lobby, saying she was being followed. The officers offered to take the suspect home, and she declined and asked to be taken to a hotel. The suspect was taken to a local hotel. Officers were then called to the hotel due to the suspect calling the police, stating that people were after her. The suspect, Amberlina Martinez, age 40 of Socorro, was put under arrest and booked at SCDC on one charge of public nuisance.
WARRANT ARREST
On Nov. 5, in the area of California Street, officers were called to a convenience store for a possible shoplifter. According to the report, the suspect was contacted in the bathroom, and officers completed an NCIC check. The suspect had a valid arrest warrant and was booked at SCDC.
SUSPENDED LICENSE, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
On Nov. 6, an officer on patrol completed a traffic stop on a suspect for driving with an expired license plate. According to the report, the officer contacted the suspect, who said he knew he should not be driving. The officer completed a NCIC check on the suspect and found the suspect had a suspended/revoked driver’s license with arrest pursuant. The suspect was arrested, and the officer completed a tow inventory where they located a glass pipe with drug residue. The officer identified the residue as methamphetamine. The vehicle was towed, and the suspect, Valente Silva, age 24 of Socorro, was arrested and booked at SCDC on four charges of possession of a controlled substance, four charges of driving while license is suspended or revoked, four charges of registration requirements not being met, and four charges of no proof of insurance.
WARRANT ARREST
On Nov. 6, in the area of Winkler Street, a report said that an officer served a suspect with an arrest warrant at SCDC, where the suspect was being held.
FELON WITH A FIREARM, FALSE IMPRISONMENT
On Nov. 6, in the area of High School Road, officers were called to the scene of a suspect firing a gun. According to the report, the officers arrived and met with a victim who advised he had seen his trash can dumped in the street and confronted the suspect. The suspect then pulled out a handgun and fired twice into the air. The suspect walked back towards his home when he heard another gunshot, and a bullet hit a tree nearby. The officer met with the victim as well as two other victims, who confirmed that the suspect fired the gun in their direction and were afraid. The officers attempted to contact the suspect and got no answer. The report states that the officer obtained a search warrant for the home, announced it, and made entry. The suspect was located standing in a hallway and arrested. The officers contacted a female in the home, who advised officers that the guns were in the filing cabinet. The female unlocked the filing cabinet, and the guns and ammunition were retrieved as evidence. The female made a statement that the suspect was not allowing her to leave. The report said that the officers staffed the case with the on-call DA, and charges were approved. The suspect, Atancio Cordero, age 42, of Los Lunas, was arrested on 63 charges of aggravated assault, 21 charges of false imprisonment, 21 charges of tampering with evidence, and 21 charges of negligent use of a deadly weapon. Cordero was booked at SCDC.
