DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
On Nov. 18, in the area of Judith Court, officers were called to a home to remove a female. According to the report, the officer met with the caller, who said that the victim and the suspect lived in a shed in the back and were arguing, and the female needed to leave. The officer met with the female victim, who said she was arguing with the suspect over her being on her phone. The report says that the suspect then took the phone and walked away. The female victim said she then tackled the suspect, and he sat on her phone and her tablet while telling the victim to pack her belongings. The suspect then handed the victim her phone and tablet and then pushed her by the throat. The victim then called a family member to pick them up. The family member advised she was bringing her boyfriend. Reports said the suspect retrieved a handgun and loaded it, stating, “I want to see them step foot on my property,” and proceeded to leave the residence in his car. According to reports, the victim then said she was in fear of the suspect and his loading the gun. The officer documented the victim’s current injuries, and charges are pending.
BROKEN WINDOW
On Nov. 19, in the area of Center Street, a victim stated she was being followed by her ex-girlfriend. According to the report, the victim and a witness left town, and when they returned home, the suspect arrived and started an argument. The suspect broke a window during the argument, and the witness confirmed seeing the suspect hitting the window with their fists. The value of the window was estimated at $500, and charges are pending.
WARRANT ARREST
According to the report, on Nov. 19, in the area of Clarke Field Bridge, an officer contacted a suspect who was sleeping under the bridge and found them to have a valid arrest warrant. The suspect was arrested and booked at Socorro County Detention Center.
VEHICLE TAKEN
On Nov. 19 in the area of Lopezville, a caller advised that the suspect returned home after getting out of jail and told the caller they were withdrawing from drug use. According to the report, the suspect then got into the victim’s vehicle, and the caller told the suspect not to take the victim’s vehicle. The suspect said, “What are you going to do, call the cops?” and then left, said reports. According to reports, the officer spoke to the victim who was able to provide a license plate number and the caller is the spouse of the victim and was able to sign a theft declaration on the vehicle.
GUNSHOT VICTIM
On Nov. 19, in the area of Leroy and College, officers were called to a scene of gunshots and a possible victim. According to the reports, the officers arrived and located a male with gunshot wounds. The officers rendered aid, and an ambulance arrived and transported the victim to Socorro General Hospital, where the victim later passed away. The report said that the officers secured the scene and called for additional resources. Officers met with witnesses at the Socorro Police Department and waited for the New Mexico State Police investigation agents. The New Mexico State Police agents took the lead on the investigation while the Socorro Police Department took on a support role.
FORGERY
On Nov. 20, in the area of Manzanares, officers were called to First State Bank for a suspect attempting to pass a forged check. According to the report, the officers arrived and were directed to a vehicle that was leaving, with a male inside who was identified as the suspect. The officers completed a stop on the vehicle and saw the passenger throw paperwork out of the vehicle. The officers recovered the paperwork and found that it was checks. The suspects were then detained and advised of their rights. The reports said the suspects in the car said they were connected to the suspect who had pointed out their vehicle, and that they had come to Socorro to cash the checks and make money. The officers were able to meet with bank staff and obtain the ID and check that the suspect was trying to cash. The suspect was then identified, and the two suspects in custody were charged with crimes and booked at the Socorro County Detention Center. The third suspect was charged, and an arrest warrant for him was obtained. The officers towed the suspect’s vehicle. The reports state the suspect, Marquise Prudhomme, age 25 of Albuquerque, was charged with ten counts of forgery, five counts of concealing identity, five counts of conspiracy to commit forgery, and five counts of tampering with evidence. The second suspect, Wock Geffard, age 27, of Albuquerque, was charged with six counts of tampering with evidence, six counts of conspiracy to commit forgery, eleven counts of forgery, and six counts of concealing identity. The third suspect, Devon Meek, age 25 of Sacramento, CA, was charged with one count of tampering with evidence, one count of conspiracy to commit forgery, one count of concealing identity, and two counts of forgery.
CIVIL DISPUTE
On Nov. 20, in the area of Center Street, a caller advised she was receiving text messages from her ex-boyfriend wanting a child’s Social Security number. According to the report, the caller declined to provide the information. The caller then said the ex-boyfriend had said he was going to pick up a vehicle that was gifted to the child, and has now stopped paying for insurance. The caller said the ex-boyfriend had continued to text the caller and children about the incident, and the officer documented the incident.
BURGLARY
On Nov. 21, in the area of Manzanares, an officer was called to the scene of a burglary and suspects leaving the scene. According to the report, the suspects were stopped and contacted by officers. The first suspect advised she was aware of why she was stopped and admitted to the burglary, and they allowed the officers to take possession of the stolen items. The second suspect also admitted to taking part in the theft of the victim’s items. Both suspects were arrested and later booked at SCDC, and the victim’s property was returned. In reports, it states that one suspect, Careece Carillo, age 18 of Socorro, was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary, and two counts of burglary of a dwelling.
ASSAULT, BATTERY, FALSE IMPRISONMENT
On Nov. 22, in the area of Cane Street, officers were called to a home for an assault. According to the reports, the officers met with the female victim, who was scared and wanted to leave the area. The victim said she was in a domestic with her boyfriend, who lived in another home, and the victim was taken to the police department while the officers attempted to contact the male suspect at his home. At the home of the suspect, a young female answered and said the suspect was not home. Officers talked to the victim at the police department, who, according to reports, said she was arguing with her boyfriend on Nov. 18, and during the argument, the suspect beat her up and would not let her leave. The victim stated she was unable to call the police because the suspect had previously broken her phone. The victim said during the incident, the suspect stabbed the victim with a knife. The victim said she was able to go to Socorro General Hospital to be treated, and the police came, but she did not speak to the officers. She was taken to Albuquerque for treatment, and upon being released, she returned to her home. It was reported the two began arguing again, and the suspect again hit the victim. The victim said she tried jumping out of a window to get away, but the suspect carried her back into the home and would not let her leave. The reports state the victim said she was able to leave when the suspect took a shower. The officer documented the injuries and staffed the case with the DA’s office; charges are pending.
OVERDOSE
On Nov. 23, in the area of Tierra Bonita, officers were called for a male overdosing. According to the report, the male was moved to be loaded into an ambulance, and the officer located nine fentanyl pills. The male was loaded into the ambulance and taken to Socorro General Hospital for treatment.
WARRANT ARREST
On Nov. 23, in the area of Highway 85 and Spring Street, an officer completed a traffic stop on a vehicle. According to reports, the vehicle came to a stop, and the suspect ran from the police at the stop. The officer chased the suspect and was able to catch the suspect. The suspect was placed under arrest and was known to have a valid arrest warrant. The suspect, Seferino Baca, age 43 of Socorro, was arrested for the two valid warrants and charged with two counts of resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer. Baca was processed and booked at Socorro County Detention Center.
DOG BITE
On Nov. 24, in the area of Northeast Frontage Road, an officer was called to Socorro General Hospital for a dog bite. According to the report, the officer met with the victim, who advised she heard a dog barking in the backyard and saw a dog trying to put its head between the fence links. The victim attempted to stop the dog and was bitten on the hand. The victim said she had seen the suspect dog in a neighbor’s yard previously. The officer will forward the report to animal control.
LOST PACKAGE
On Nov. 25, in the area of Spring Street, a caller advised that a subject in a red vehicle was on his property and may be taking things. According to the report, the officer was later directed to the male in a red Subaru. The male said he works as a private contractor for UPS and was delivering packages. The male showed the officer credentials for UPS and was released. The report states the officer later spoke with the caller and advised them the male had credentials.
FENCE CUT
On Nov. 25, in the area of Neel Street, a caller advised that during a recent police standoff with a subject, his fence was cut by the New Mexico State Police tac team. According to the report the officer advised a report would be done to document the incident.
WARRANT ARREST, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
On Nov. 26, in the area of Center Street, officers located a suspect at his residence. According to the report, the suspect was known to have a valid arrest warrant. The suspect, Larry Padilla, age 62, of Socorro, was detained, and a warrant was confirmed. The suspect was searched, and officers located eight blue pills known to be fentanyl. Padilla was arrested on a warrant and one charge of possession of a controlled substance. Padilla was processed and booked at Socorro County Detention Center.
JAYWALKING
On Nov. 25, in the area of McCutcheon, an officer witnessed a suspect cross the street not in a designated crosswalk. According to the report, the suspect was also observed to be intoxicated and unsteady while walking. The officer contacted the suspect and asked them to identify themselves due to the pedestrian traffic violation. The suspect refused to identify himself and cursed at the officer. The suspect, Kenneth Hines, age 70 of Socorro, was arrested for two charges of jaywalking and two charges of concealing his identity and was booked at Socorro County Detention Center.
TRESPASSER
On Nov. 26, in the area of Manzanares, officers were called to the scene of a trespasser. According to the report, the officer met with the caller, who advised she wanted the suspect removed. The officer removed the suspect, and officers were called back later in the evening because the suspect had returned with another male. The suspects were removed and arrested. The suspect, Travis Shirley, age 48 of Magdalena, was arrested on a valid warrant and done charge of criminal trespass, and both suspects were booked at Socorro County Detention Center.
ABUSE OF 911 SYSTEM
On Nov. 27, in the area of Riverside Road, a suspect made calls to 911 and reported people in his home and that he locked them in the closet. According to the report, the officers had been to his home several times, and there was no one in the closet. The officers arrived and checked the closet, and there was no one inside. The suspect, Albert Perez, age 38 of Socorro, was under the influence of narcotics and was arrested for abuse of the 911 system and booked at the Socorro County Detention Center.
SUSPENDED LICENSE
On Nov. 27, in the area of North California Street, an officer witnessed a suspect drive over the curb to exit a parking lot, and the vehicle was also observed to have the front windshield tinted. According to the report, the officer completed a traffic stop and contacted the driver who was shown to have a suspended, revoked license with arrest pursuant. The driver, Raul Guerrero, age 48 of Socorro, was arrested and charged with three counts of driving while license was suspended or revoked, three charges of driving on roadways laned for traffic, and three charges of windshield front/right/left to be transparent. Guerrero was booked at Socorro County Detention Center.
BURGLARY
On Nov. 28, in the area of Chaparral Street, a victim advised that he was sleeping when he heard someone enter his home. According to the report, the victim thought it was his daughter until the suspect walked into the bedroom, yelling at the victim. The victim got out of bed and began struggling with the suspect to remove the suspect from the home. The victim was able to get the suspect out of his home and call the police. The suspect had been contacted and was highly intoxicated, and charges were staffed with the DA. Charges were approved on the suspect, Theron Ramone, age 38, of Socorro, who was charged with one count of burglary.
EMAIL ALERT
On Nov. 28, a caller advised she received an email alert that her email was accessed by another person and her location was now being shared with her ex-boyfriend, for whom she has a protection order. There was no information showing who accessed the email. The incident was documented.
PHONE SCAM
On Nov. 30, a victim advised she was being contacted by a female saying her daughter was arrested in Albuquerque, NM. According to the report, the victim was given instructions on how to post bond through Cash App. The victim completed a transaction sending $1,400. The victim was then asked to send more money for rehab. The victim called the Albuquerque Police, who informed the victim that was not how APD arranges bond and that she was the victim of a scam. A report was filed to document the incident.
