SPEED VIOLATION
On Dec. 10, in the area of Lopezville and Gibson Circle, a suspect was contacted for a speed violation. According to the report, during the stop, the suspect was identified and had a NCIC check completed. The suspect had a suspended license arrest pursuant and a valid arrest warrant. The suspect, Almanzo Chavez, age 45 of Socorro, was arrested for the two valid warrants, two counts of driving while license is suspended or revoked, and two counts of speeding 1-10 miles per hour over. Chavez was booked at SCDC, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
BARKING DOG
On Dec. 11, in the area of Calle Bonita, an officer was called to the scene of a barking dog. According to the report, the officer met with the caller, who advised that her neighbor on the other street had a dog that had been barking for several hours. The caller advised that she had called the police on the neighbor before and was now being harassed. The caller requested that the incident be documented.
RESISTING, EVADING, OR OBSTRUCTING AN OFFICER
On Dec. 11, in the area of Bullock Street, an officer was dispatched to the location in reference to an eviction notice. According to the report, the officer made contact with the male who was being evicted. The officer asked the male to step outside so he could speak with him. The individual who had been evicted attempted to re-enter the room. The report states the officer advised the male that if he did not comply with the officer's commands, he was to be placed under arrest. The officer had to use the amount of force necessary to apprehend the individual. The officer later booked the male, Bjorn Vincent Burnfield, age 22 of Socorro, on two counts of concealing their identity and two counts of resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer at SCDC.
ARREST WARRANT
According to the report, on Dec. 11 in the area of Park Street, an officer obtained an arrest warrant from the magistrate court and served the suspect with a copy of the warrant, as the suspect was already in the custody of SCDC.
WARRANT ARREST
On Dec. 11 in the area of Winkler, an officer was dispatched to the location for a female who had an active warrant out for her arrest. According to the report, the officer arrived on scene and placed the female under arrest. The officer then transported the female to Socorro General Hospital for medical clearance and then booked the female at SCDC

NARCOTICS FOUND AT TRAFFIC STOP
On Dec. 11, in the area of Evergreen and Spring Streets, an officer on patrol witnessed a suspect fail to use a turn signal. According to the report, the officer completed a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and female passenger. The report states the driver was run through NCIC and had a suspended, revoked license; the driver was arrested. The female was not wearing a seatbelt and gave wrong information when asked to identify herself and was detained by officers. The driver provided the female’s information and advised that she had narcotics in the car. The female was identified and found to have a valid arrest warrant. The officers located narcotics and a handgun in the car under the driver’s seat. The vehicle was then towed from the scene. According to reports, the two suspects were processed and taken to the SCDC. The report states that the driver, Valente Silva, age 24 of Socorro, was removed from the patrol car and the officer found a baggie with narcotics. Silva was charged with three charges of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of concealing identity, three charges of improperly worn or unfastened seatbelts, three charges of driving while license was suspended or revoked, and three charges of stop and turn signals required. The passenger, suspect Zeanna Platero, age 21 of Albuquerque, was charged with two charges of possession of a controlled substance, two charges of driving while license was suspended or revoked, and three charges of stop and turn signals required. The two suspects were processed and taken to SCDC.
MALE ENTERING HOME WITHOUT PERMISSION
On Dec. 11, in the area of Bullock, an officer was called to a home for a male entering the home without permission. According to the report, the officers arrived and saw a male standing in the door of the home, yelling, and a female was hiding in the car. The male was detained and the female contacted. The female said the male was not allowed in the home and entered anyway. The suspect, Gabino Crucito Salas, age 21 of Socorro, was charged with one count of criminal trespass/not posted and booked at SCDC.
UNRESPONSIVE MALE
On Dec. 12, on Spring Street, officers were called to the scene for an unresponsive male. According to the report, the officers were directed to the home where the male was lying in the fetal position with a female holding the male. The officers removed the female and checked the male, who was found to be not responsive and with no pulse. EMS arrived and confirmed there was no pulse. The report states a male on scene said the female called for him to dial 911. The male then grabbed Naloxone and administered it to the male. OMI was called to process the deceased male, and no external injuries were seen.
MAN ATTACKED AT CLARKE FIELD
According to reports, on Dec. 14, in the area of Clarke field, a victim advised he was attacked for no reason and beaten up. According to the report, the victim was not able to provide any suspect information or description, and the victim did have injuries and was taken to SGH. At this time, there are no suspects.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CALL
On Dec. 14, in the area of El Camino Real, officers were called to a home for a domestic violence call. According to the report, the officers arrived and located the male suspect behind the apartment. The suspect was detained and advised of his rights. The report states the suspect advised the victim questioned him about cheating on the victim, and the victim threw a bag at the suspect, and the suspect pushed the victim into a wall. The suspect was checked for warrants in NCIC and had a valid arrest warrant. The suspect was arrested, and the victim confirmed the argument. The suspect was arrested and booked at SCDC for the valid warrant, but no charges were approved for domestic violence, said reports.
PACKAGE DELIVERED TO WRONG ADDRESS
On Dec. 15, in the area of Center Street, a victim advised a package was to be delivered to his home but was delivered to the wrong address. According to the report, the victim advised he contacted the delivery company and was told to file a report on the items. The value of the items was $393.72.
WARRANT ARREST
On Dec. 15 in the area of Center Street, an officer allied to the compliance office for a suspect with a warrant. According to the report, the suspect was contacted, and NCIC check was completed. The suspect had a valid arrest warrant and was arrested and booked at SCDC.
CPS HOME CHECK
On Dec. 15, in the area of Vista De Socorro Apartments, an officer was called to assist with a CPS-reported house check. According to the report, the officer contacted the father, who was upset and did not want officers in the home. The officer was able to speak with the child, and the child advised he had been sick and not sleeping. The father advised that the child was going to the doctor on the following day. The father was asked about the child’s hygiene, and the father advised the child was bathed every night before bed. The father told officers that he was doing what he could at the time as a single father and was not working at the time. The officer documented the incident.
POSSIBLY STOLEN DOG
On Dec. 15 an officer was called to a scene in reference to a possibly stolen dog. The officer met with the reporting person who stated he last saw his dog earlier in the day. The reporting person believes the dog was taken due to having a high fence and the dog being tied up. The reporting person stated he was unsure who would have taken the dog.
JUVENILE SPEEDING
On Dec. 15 in the area of Chaparral and Marshal Lane, an officer headed to a call for a suspect's vehicle lined up to another vehicle as if to race. According to the report, the officer saw both vehicles accelerate and then slow down. The vehicles again accelerated, and the suspect vehicle reached a speed of 75 mph in a 35 mph zone. The officer completed a traffic stop, and the report states that the officer advised the juvenile driver of the reason for the stop. The juvenile said that the other driver had shone a light in his face and that was the reason for the speed. The juvenile was unable to provide a valid driver’s license and only had a permit. The juvenile is on probation, and his probation officer was contacted. The probation office declined to detain and advised the officer to release the juvenile to a parent. The report states the parents were contacted and arrived on scene and were verbally combative. The officer advised the parents of the incident, and the child was cited into court and released to the parents.
LARCENY
On Dec. 16 in the area of Manzanares, an officer was dispatched to the location for some missing items. According to the report, the reporting party advised the officers the items that were stolen had active tracking and provided officers with the location. Officers made contact with a resident, and it was determined the item was not there. Later during the shift, officers got a call for the same matter, but to a different location, and were able to recover the stolen items. Roberto Gurule, age 46 of Socorro, was charged with one count of larceny.
CPS REPORT
On Dec. 16, in the area of Chaparral Drive, an officer received a CPS report for a child not attending school. According to the report, the officer attempted to contact the parent at home and by phone with no success. The officer left a message with the father, who later called the police detective. The report states the officer spoke with the father by phone, and the father advised that his son broke a tooth at school and had pain in the tooth. The father also said his son had gotten the flu. The father said his son did attend school on this date and would attend the following day.
WINDOW DAMAGE
On Dec.16, in the area of South Highway 85, an officer was called to the Safe Harbor Shelter for damage to a window. According to the report, the officer was told the suspect broke a window with a rock and that the incident was recorded on video. The officer was shown the video and could see the male suspect throw the rock and break the window. An assisting officer later located the suspect. The suspect at first denied the damage and then admitted to the damage after being told he was on video. The suspect, Raymond Pino, age 44 of Socorro, was charged with two charges of criminal damage to property.
FEMALE BOOKED WITH NARCOTICS
On Dec. 16, in the area of Grefco at the Socorro County Detention Center, an officer was called in reference to narcotics being found on a female booked the previous day. According to the report, the officer met with the corrections officer, who stated the narcotics were located on a screening after booking. The corrections officer stated the female was taken to the Socorro General Hospital, and the narcotics were discovered, and the officer took possession of the narcotics. Lisa Benavidez, age 36, of Socorro, was charged with one charge of possession of a controlled substance.
FOUR JUVENILES SHOPLIFTING
On Dec. 16 in the area of North California, an officer was called to Circle K for four juveniles shoplifting. According to the report, the officer was advised the four juveniles had shoplifted food items. The officer was shown a video of the juveniles, three of whom were seen on camera taking a food item and a beverage from the store without paying. The fourth was not seen on video with items. The officer contacted the parents of the juveniles and notified them of the incident.
