Letter to the editor
Dear Editor,
I’d like to thank the City of Socorro Water Department for their timely response to a problem on our street.
Last Friday afternoon, my wife reported a water leak bubbling up to the road. By Tuesday morning, it was fixed.
Folks often resent paying taxes and complain about city services, but this is exactly why we pay taxes, and the city deserves credit where it’s due. I hope that the fine service we received was not just because we live in an affluent part of town.
