SHS Lady Warriors battle for their second win

The Lady Warriors grabbed their second win of the season in a very close game against Moriarty. Socorro won the Saturday, Jan. 17, game by three points, 41-38. 

“Yes, it was an exciting game. We came together and played as a team with discipline and control.” Head Coach Rebecca Apodaca said. 

Tatjana Castillo scored 11 points, Jonae Rosas had 10 and MariJo had 8. Apodaca said that Gyanna Jaramillo and Mireya Estrada contributed “clutch” 3-pointers to help the team win this one.

“Great defensive game and we capitalized on important shots.” Apodaca said.

The Lady Warriors are now 2-14 for the season.
