Socorro Striders and Riders' Spring Series begins

Runners take off for the start of the Valentine's 5K fun run on Saturday, Feb. 21.

Socorro Striders and Riders' Valentine’s 5K fun run took place on East Rd. by EMRTC on Saturday, Feb. 21. A better-than-expected 23 runners made it out for their first run of the Spring Series. Cool but generally nice conditions made it a pleasant morning for an outside run. 

"We are always happy to see our returning participants and have new folks join in as the new Series begins. We look forward to hosting our Easter Run on Saturday, April 4, at the Rodeo Grounds," SSR Secretary Sara Roberts Demorest said. That 5K run will begin at 9 a.m.
