Wade's son appointed to SEC board

In late July 2024, The SEC Board of Trustees lost its longest-serving board member, David Wade. The legacy that Dave Wade left will continue to be a part of SEC’s Board of Trustees with the appointment of his son, David Lyn Wade.

Wade was appointed at the June 26, 2024, board meeting and sworn in at the July 24, 2024, board meeting. Wade was born and raised in Socorro County and graduated from Socorro High School in 1979. Wade Grew up farming with his dad and helping run the family business. Once he graduated from high school, he started his own farm and continued to help with the family business.

Wade attended most regular cooperative board meetings, several special meetings, and all the annual meetings while his dad was a trustee.

SEC is elated to have him as a Trustee and for him to continue his father’s legacy and leadership.
