Parkview Volleyball Club
Young volleyball players in Socorro have another upcoming opportunity to enjoy the game.
The Parkview Volleyball Club will be hosting a volleyball tournament on Saturday, March 7, at the Parkview Elementary School Gym. Games will begin at 10 a.m. The cost to watch the games is $5 for adults and $2 for kids, with free entry for ages two and under. The club will use the money collected that day to hold a banquet to celebrate their players at the end of the season.
SHS Lady Warriors basketball
The Lady Warriors finished 3-24 for the regular season and fourth in their district at 0-6.
The varsity girls traveled to play highly-ranked Cobre for the district playoffs, but they lost 59-27 to bring an end to their season. The three wins for the season match last year’s win total.
All-District First Team: Tatjana Castillo and Jonae Rosas.
All-District Second Team: Tatum Brown and Mireya Estrada.

The Warriors finished 6-18 for the regular season and third place in their district at 2-5.
The varsity boys traveled to T or C to battle Hot Springs in round one of the district playoffs. Socorro lost 46-41. The Warriors’ six wins also match their win total from last year.
