Red Basin Uranium Project near Datil Update
According to a press release, Myriad Uranium Corporation executed an agreement dated March 17, to sell its Red Basin Uranium Project in New Mexico, to Subatomic Red Basin, LLC for $2,500,000 cash, payable on closing.
Myriad will retain a 10% free carried interest in the Red Basin Project and form a strategic alliance with Subatomic for exploration and development of other projects.
In January, the uranium claim located west of Datil was estimated to have a million pounds of the radioactive metal by Myriad’s CEO Thomas Lamb.
The Canadian-based Myriad Uranium Corporation purchased the 86 load claim in November 2025. The claim spans 1,779 acres about nine miles west of Datil, 12 miles east of Pie Town on Hwy 60 and an estimated 10-14 miles from the Alamo Navajo reservation.
“We bought it for a good price and now we are going to advance the project,” Myriad Uranium CEO Thomas Lamb said in January. “It’s a lovely project with half a million pounds of indicated uranium, and 1.5 to 6.5 million pounds of inferred uranium.”
Lamb said “indicated” means a higher confidence amount of uranium and “inferred” suggests additional, but less certain, uranium is present. He said the company must do further technical work to validate the full amount before reporting it officially as per Canadian standards.
“What is already clear, however, is that the potential for nuclear energy to provide uninterruptible, clean power solutions for the technology sector is attracting a new class of investors into uranium — and into domestic U.S. sources of uranium in particular. Myriad is well-positioned to benefit from this accelerating trend, and we look forward to updating shareholders on key developments as they unfold as we partner with Subatomic,” Lamb said in the press release.
According to the press release, closing is expected on or before April 17, 2026, and is subject to conditions including due diligence, and the finalization of agreements respecting the carried interest and the strategic alliance.
