On Friday, March 20, the Charisma Blues dancers performed two dances at state this year, Pom in the morning and Jazz in the afternoon.

"They left it all on the floor, and I'm incredibly proud of them!" Head Coach Stefanie Bunning said.

They compete in the Class A-4A group against some very large dance teams. Senior Serenity Montoya said that she hoped all their hard work showed. While they didn't come home with the trophy they might have hoped for, the families and fans who followed their journey recognized the team’s efforts and dedication. They gave it their all and added more memories to a great season.

“I'm just so grateful for the team that I have,” Nayeli Pavia said.

Sienna Bunning also said she was grateful she got to spend the final day of her last year with this team. Teammates echoed the same sentiments and gratitude was a theme of the moment.

"I'm so very grateful for the team that I got to dance with, and I'm gonna miss my two seniors very much. Love you, Serenity and Sienna," Charisma Blues dancer Jasleen Rodriguez said.

The younger dancers on the team thanked the two seniors for their leadership and guidance, among many other things, throughout the season.

“Thank you, Sienna, for everything,” Nayomi Montaño said.
